The Boston Bruins have announced on Tuesday that Bruins forward Joonas Kemppainen will not travel with the team to Montreal due to an upper-body injury.
In the wake of the injury, Boston had no choice but to call up Max Talbot yet again.
In the AHL with Providence, Talbot has played 10 games with 4-6-10 totals. Thus giving hope to a weak Providence team. Max has made an impact in the AHL, scoring hasn’t come easy to the 31 year-old in the NHL. In 7 games, he has 0 points and a -3 rating. The Bruins team currently has a solid fourth line with Zac Rinaldo, Landon Ferraro, and Tyler Randell, (for the last two games).
On the other side of the bargain, Joonas Kemppainen has played in 24 contests, with 1-2-3 totals. To go with those stats, Joonas has sat in the sin bin for a combined 2 minutes and has a -5 rating.
We shall see if Max Talbot can change his ways in the big leagues and where he will be slotted in the lineup for Wednesday vs the Canadians. Once I find more on Kemppainen, I will let you guys know right away.
