The Boston Bruins no longer have the services of forward Chris Kelly. Kelly just signed a one-year, $900,000 deal with the Ottawa Senators. The team that he began his NHL career with.
Chris Kelly played 11 games last season, but was unfortunately sidelined for the remainder of the season due to a fractured left femur. Kelly’s previous contract was a four-year deal, that cost the Bruins $2.5 million last season.
In the year prior, Chris Kelly played in 80 games, and produced 7-21-28 totals with a +6 rating. A solid third/fourth liner that may only have a couple more seasons in the National Hockey League due to his age of 38. We thank Chris for his 6 years with the black and gold and for helping us with the 2011 Stanley Cup win. Best of luck in Ottawa.
