Report: Bruins Sign Forward To PTO

According to Pierre LeBrun, the Boston Bruins have signed forward Peter Mueller to a PTO (Professional Tryout Offer).

Mueller did indeed play in Sweden last season with the Malmo Redhawks. In 43 games with the Redhawks, Mueller put up 13-12-25 totals as well as a -11 rating.

Peter was originally drafted 8th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Pheonix Coyotes. In his first season, Peter had totals of 22-32-54 in 81 games that season. The most recent NHL team that he has played for was the Florida Panthers back in the 2012–13 season. Following that season, he played two seasons in the Swiss-A league, followed by last season in the Swedish league. Now, he has a profession tryout offer from the Boston Bruins.

What do you think of this PTO? Do the Bruins need another centre, even if he is 6’2″ and 204 pounds? Let me know in the comments below!!
