The National Hockey League announced the weekly three stars once again, and it was mainly ruled by the goalies.
Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask went 4-0-0 in the week, including two shutouts against the Buffalo Sabres and the Colorado Avalanche. Rask also had a 0.75 GAA as well as a .970 save percentage. Tuukka is the 2nd goaltender in Boston’s history to win 10 of his first 11 starts in a season. Gerry Cheevers went 10-1-0 in the 1976-77 season.
Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele took the 2nd star of the week. Scheifele had 3 goals and 3 assists in the four games, helping the Jets earn 7 of a possible 8 points of the week. Mark scored 4 of his 6 points in a blowout win against the Dallas Stars on November 8th.
The 3rd star of the week went to Nashville Predator goalie, Pekka Rinne. Another Finnish player. Like Rask, Rinne went undefeated, only, he played three games, not four. In the three appearances, Pekka had a goal-against-average of 0.67 and a save percentage of .976.
