After a rough game on Wednesday night against the Washington Capitals, the Boston Bruins have released an official announcement on the status of the two players who suffered injuries in the contest. Patrice Bergeron and Tuukka Rask.
This is the best possible news for the Bruins here. Bergeron was injured after taking a Matt Niskanen slapshot to the inside of his knee. He left the game after trying to return soon after the shot. Rask on the other hand, was shaken up after a spectacular cross-crease robbery on Alex Ovechkin late in the contest. Below are both injuries.
Head coach Claude Julien didn’t rule out the possibility of both playing in Boston’s next game.
Boston prepares to play the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday in an important Atlantic division showdown at 7pm EST in the TD Garden.
