The Boston Bruins have announced on Tuesday, March 7th, that Bruins forward Ryan Spooner will be out indefinitely due to a concussion. The team will be putting Spooner through the standard concussion protocol to see the severity of the injury.
As Joe Haggerty and other Bruins media stated, the injury came in the third period of Monday night’s loss to the Ottawa Senators. Boston lost 4-2 in a game where points really matter in the oh-so-close Eastern Conference playoff race.
At this point of the year, Spooner has 11-23-34 totals in 65 games this season, but has really seemed to build confidence and momentum since the Interim Head Coach, Bruce Cassidy took over.
We at TheRealBruinsBlog wish a successful and speedy recovery to Ryan Spooner.
