BREAKING: Bruins Re-Sign Fourth Line Forward

The Boston Bruins have announced on Wednesday, July 5th, that they have re-signed forward Tim Schaller to a one-year contract worth $775,000.

The Bruins signed Schaller on the first day of free agency last season, on July 1st, 2016. During the course of the NHL campaign, Schaller skated in 59 games, producing 7-7-14 totals and a -6 rating. Tim also added one goal and 2 PIM in the six post-season games.

The 6’2″ 219 pound New Hampshire native played on the fourth line, where he added physicality and hard work. Schaller had 73 hits this season, averaging 1.04 hits per game.

The signing keeps some forward depth on the roster as well as some toughness and size to the bottom-six. The
